Rickshaw GirlThe best movies are based on books, which is why we’re so excited for the movie version of Mitali Perkins‘ novel RICKSHAW GIRL, which is scheduled for release in 2018! The book tells the story of Naima, who uses her talented painter of Bangladeshi alpana patterns to help her family earn money.

Client Appearances

Kwame Alexander‘s new young adult book SOLO will be celebrated on Aug. 3 at A Literary Concert at the Bank Street Auditorium in New York. The event, running 4:30pm to 5:30pm, will blend poetry and rock ‘n’ roll, with Kwame reading from his SOLO and musician Randy Preston performing original music composed for the book. Attendees also will view the premiere of the music video for “Excuse Me,” an original song from SOLO. A Q&A and signing with co-author Mary Rand Hess will follow.

Kwame also will be signing SOLO at New York’s Books of Wonder on Aug. 4 from 6pm to 8pm.

And Don Tate will launch his newest picture book biography, STRONG AS SANDOW: HOW EUGEN SANDOW BECAME THE STRONGEST MAN ON EARTH, at Austin’s Stark Center on Sunday Aug. 27 at 3pm. The Stark Center is above the Darrel K Royal—Texas Memorial Football Stadium on the University of Texas campus.
