COVER REVEAL

A Voice For the Spirit Bears written by Carmen OliverWe’ve got the wonderful cover for the latest picture book written by The Booking Biz founder and author Carmen Oliver.

The picture book biography A VOICE FOR THE SPIRIT BEARS: HOW ONE BOY INSPIRED MILLIONS TO SAVE A RARE ANIMAL tells the story of how young Simon Jackson found it difficult to navigate the school playground but felt at home in the woodlands learning about and photographing wildlife.

As a teenager, he became fascinated with spirit bears, a rare subspecies of the black bear but with creamy white fur, and when he found out they were losing their habitat to deforestation, he decided to become their voice so he could protect them.

The book comes out May 7, 2019, from Kids Can Press. Carmen talked about the book and how authors must insert their passions into their author visits in a guest post on the popular Cynsations writing blog with author Cynthia Leitich Smith.
