Erzsi Deak is an author, editor, and founder of Hen&ink Literary. Her picture book Pumpkin Time! (illustrated by Doug Cushman; Sourcebooks/Scholastic Clubs) celebrates mindfulness, a gardening year—and pumpkin pie.
Erzsi co-edited Period Pieces: Stories for Girls (HarperCollins), which was a Bank Street pick. And her articles on the world of children’s publishing have appeared in Children’s Writers & Illustrators’ Market. She is a two-time SCBWI Member of the Year and serves on the Kids Gardening Educator Advisory Panel. She splits her time between the South of France and California.
Erzsi is available for workshops, keynotes, writing and illustrating programs for anyone who can read and wants to write or illustrate books, ages 8 through adult. Learn more about Erzsi on her speaker page.
Erica S. Perl is the author of popular and critically acclaimed books for young readers.
Her middle grade novels include When Life Gives You O.J., which earned a Sydney Taylor Notable Award, was an ALA Notable Book, and is on multiple state book award lists.
Her newest novel is The Capybara Conspiracy: A Novel in Three Acts, which boasts an innovative script format. Erica also writes picture books, including Chicken Butt!, Goatilocks and the Three Bears, and Ferocious Fluffity.
