The Booking Biz is having a busy year! And we wouldn’t want it any other way. A busy year for us means more children are hearing the inspiring words from our wonderful author and illustrator clients and getting introduced to their books.
We’re thrilled to have added four new clients to our stable recently and can’t wait for you to see them presenting in schools. Here’s a sneak peek of their work and speaking engagements.
Janet Fox is the award-winning author of fiction and non-fiction books for children of all ages, most recently the acclaimed middle-grade novel THE CHARMED CHILDREN OF ROOKSKILL CASTLE. A former teacher and graduate of the Writing for Children and Young Adults MFA program at Vermont College of Fine Arts, Janet has honed a number of presentations and workshops for classrooms and large groups and can tailor each to the students’ needs. Topics include fantasy, history, research and the writing process.
Liz Garton Scanlon is the author of numerous beloved books for young people, including the highly acclaimed, Caldecott-honored picture book ALL THE WORLD, illustrated by Marla Frazee, and most recently the middle-grade novel THE GREAT GOOD SUMMER. A poet and teacher, Liz presents to children at schools and libraries as well as adults at writing conferences all over the nation. She’s also on the faculty at the Vermont College of Fine Arts Writing for Children and Young Adults MFA program.
Dianne White is a poetry lover, teacher and author of the award-winning picture book BLUE on BLUE, illustrated by Caldecott artist Beth Krommes. Dianne gives assembly presentations and workshops for classes and small groups of creative young writers, adjusted to the grade level of the students. Topics include poem-making, observation and the creative process.
